Background Story

Now that I think about it I should have published this cover as number 13 and not 14, that would have been cool. 13 is the sixth album by Blur, released on 15 March 1999. The original cover is a painting by the band’s guitarist Graham Coxon called Apprentice. I chose this album because it has a overall nostalgic feeling in it. “Tender” and “No Distance Left to Run” are proper “look-outside-the-window-of-a train-while-it’s-raining” kind of songs. Just the way I like it. Apparently they were written after Albarn’s break up with Justine Frischmann and his struggle to move on.
