Background Story

Cyrus Shahrad is a writer, critic, director, artist and he also makes music under the name Hiatus. Ghost notes is his first studio album.

This cover is inspired by Save Yourself, the first track of the release. I find the lyrics of this song truly moving. It is a sampled version of Gladys Knight’s “Help make it through the night” by Kris Kristofferson. And they go like this:

“Laying soft against your skin

Like the shadows on the wall”
