Background Story

A lot of the music selected for this #86albums project has a strong connection with a friend of mine who passed away few years ago. Maybe because we used to have a very similar taste in music, the same passion for clubbing and live music. Or maybe just because I put way too much emotional value into songs. Who knows.

Every year, with my friends from Turin, we organise a charity party in his honour, the “Bomber Night”. At this party I pretend to be a Dj and put some music. During the night there is a moment that now became tradtition. The moment when I play Gui Boratto’s “No Turning Back”. And we all go crazy, singing, dangin and keeping the memory alive.

Yes, the lyrics are quite sad. But is an amazing song to dance to.
